Class Descriptions

Intro to Beading (1.5 hours)
Learn basic beading to create a professional-looking bracelet, necklace or anklet. Make our signature island bracelet featuring our exclusive Sanibel or Captiva pebble, or create any other design of your choice. (Click on the picture to see the "Captiva Pepple bracelet") Cost: Instruction is FREE! (Supplies not included. All beads & components for this class must be purchased from our store.)

Sea Garden Pendant (4 hours)
This beautiful pendant is our sea-themed adaptation of Mary Hottinger's "Flower Garden Pendant". (Click on the photo to see the "Flower Garden" version). Pick charms from our selection for the theme of your choice. Mary is a seasonal Sanibel resident and a longtime customer. We are delighted to have her teach this design at our store! Cost: $50.00 (plus supplies).

Pearl Baroque Bracelet (4 hours)
Of all the pearl legends, our favorite is the one that tells that a pearl is formed when dewdrops filled with moonlight fall to the ocean and are swallowed by oysters. (Click on the photo for a close up). This lovely design is being brought to us from Ohio by seasonal resident and longtime customer Marian Burnside. If you've taken Marian's Bird's Nest or Caterpillar on a Leaf class, then you're in for another treat with this one! Cost: $50.00 (plus supplies).

Coral Eddy (2-3 hours)
You may have seen an eddy if you've ever gone canoeing and see a small whirlpool of water while you paddle through the water. This gorgeous bracelet reminded us of just that when we first saw it! We chose azure-colored coral beads for this sample, but you can choose any type of bead to create this bracelet. This design debuted last year and it's still going strong! They are retailing for $150.00 - $200.00 in boutiques, but you can make it for a fraction of the price! Cost: $40.00 (plus supplies).

Swarovski Bee Charm (1-2 hours)
You'll be busy as a bee making these darling bee charms! Swarovski Crystals are used to make this sparkling critter. This charm can be displayed independently or can be incorporated into other jewelry designs. There is also a Lady Bug version which you opt to make in class instead of the bee. Cost: $30.00 (plus supplies).

Leaf Cascade (2-3 hours)
The single leaf is an ancient heraldic symbol said to signify happiness. Oak leaves are religious symbols of faith and endurance. In ancient times Bay leaves were considered remedies against poison, and thus they symbolized healing. Cost: $50.00 (plus supplies)

Coraling (4 hours)
Learn our no-fuss fringing technique to make beautiful necklaces and earrings. Our wide variety of sea life beads and charms and ocean-colored seed beads will help you recreate a coral reef scene that would rival any you've seen while snorkeling or scuba diving! Cost: $65.00 (plus supplies).

Cancellation Policy:
All classes must be pre-paid by phone or in person. Payment shall be forfeited if you don't show up for class. If a class is cancelled, your card will be immediately refunded. To re-schedule you must call by noon the day before the class. In an effort to maintain the integrity of our instructional program, no exceptions will be made to these policies!
